Eco-Product Design Contest

Elmer’s® Products, Inc. and TerraCycle®, Inc. challenge students to use commonly discarded materials to create new products. TerraCycle is on a quest “To Eliminate the Idea of Waste&trade,” and the Eco-Product Design Contest has the same goal. Participants will design upcycled products using Elmer’s packaging and/or used classroom materials, and email photos or drawings and descriptions of their design to TerraCycle. Entrants do not have to be part of Elmer’s Glue Crew or TerraCycle’s Elmer’s Glue Crew Brigade© to participate.

Eco-Product Design Contest is open to Schools in the United States. Teachers or Parents may submit entries on behalf of children under the age of 18. Participants may enter by emailing photos or drawings of their designs to TerraCycle to contests@teams.terracycle.net

THIS CONTEST IS INTENDED FOR ENTRY IN THE 50 UNITED STATES AND D.C. ONLY AND WILL BE GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW. DO NOT ENTER IF YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE AND LOCATED IN THE UNITED STATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRY.

OPEN ONLY TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF THE 50 UNITED STATES OR DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA (“D.C.”), 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AS OF DATE OF ENTRY.

The Contest entry period begins on March 7, 2011 at 12:00:00 a.m. (“Midnight”) Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends on March 28, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST. Completed entries delivered and checked in at TerraCycle’s facilities between those times will be eligible.

Four finalists will be announced April 4, 2011.

Voting will begin on April 6, 2011 at 12:00:00 am (“Midnight”) Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and end on April 20, 2011 at 11:59:59 p.m. EST.

The Winner will be announced on Earth Day 22, 2011.
