Key Ingredients:

Milk
Milk protein has excellent water-binding properties, making this ingredient an ideal moisturizing agent. It also has film-forming capacity, which helps give skin radiance and a soft touch. When milk protein is hydrolyzed, its smaller components are also referred to as milk amino acids or casein amino acids. Part of the alpha hydroxy acid family (AHA), lactic acid is naturally found in milk and has intense hydrating benefits as well as exfoliating properties. By gently removing the dry, clean outermost layers of skin while moisturizing the new layers, lactic acid has the ability to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and help promote a radiant, more even-toned complexion.

Sandalwood
Sandalwood has been used in Southeast Asia for centuries as a topical anti-inflammatory agent to help treat skin conditions including acne, eczema, sunburn, or whenever skin suffers from itching and irritation. These calming and cooling properties have made sandalwood powder an ideal remedy for delicate and sensitive skin, or any skin type stressed by environmental aggression.

INSTRUCTIONS
Use a heart-shaped cookie cutter on watermelon slices. Poke a bamboo kitchen skewer through each heart, then complete the arrow with an orange slice tip and tail.

 

 

Vegetable Stuffed Shells

Yields 8 servings

Ingredients
* 1 (12 ounce) package jumbo organic pasta shells
* 1 (16 ounce) tub fresh ricotta cheese
* 1 large ball fresh mozzarella cheese, or fresh mozzarella balls
* 8 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 tablespoon dried organic parsley
* 1 table spoon dried organic oregano
* 1 teaspoon dried organic basil organic basil
* 1 teaspoon ground organic black pepper
* 1 (28 ounce) jar organic pasta sauce
* 8 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms
* 2 cups organic frozen or fresh spanich
* 1/2 cup organic white onion
* 4 cloves diced organic garlic
* 1 organic tomato

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
3. In a large bowl ricotta, half the mozzarella, half the Parmesan, parsley, salt, basil, oregano, garlic, mushrooms, spinach and pepper until well combined. Stuff cooked shells with ricotta mixture and place in a baking dish.
4. Mix reserved mozzarella and Parmesan into pasta sauce. Pour over stuffed shells.
5. Bake in preheated oven 45 to 60 minutes, until edges are bubbly and shells are slightly set.
6. Let cool and serve

Brussel Sprouts with Apples & Turkey Bacon

Ingredients
1 lb of organic brussel sprouts trimmed & halved
4 slices of organic turkey bacon
1 small organic white onion
2 medium tart organic apples, diced (ie. Pink Ladies, Granny Smith or for sweet Golden Delicious)
1 tbsp of organic olive oil
1/4 cup organic chopped parsley ( or organic dill)
Organic pepper and or sea salt to taste

Directions

Boil or steam brussel sprouts after they have been trimmed and cleaned. While they are cooking chop onion, apples & turkey bacon.
Put olive oil, bacon & onions in pan and saute in onions until translucent.  Once translucent put apples in pan and cook until edges are brown.  Let the mixture cook for about 5 minutes.  By this time the brussel sprouts should be fully cooked.  Remove them from the steamer or stove drain and place in pan with onions, bacon and apples. Let the mixture cook for another 10 to 15 minutes. Add salt & pepper to taste and serve.
