I really like reading books like Exposed:The Toxic Chemistry of Everyday Products and What’s at Stake for American Power. I feel like most people take everyday stuff for granted and they just assume their actions aren’t effecting what goes on in the world. This however is completely wrong! I try to explain this to many of my friends, family memebers and even co-workers in hopes that they will see the error of their ways but they usually end up thinking I am some hippie nut. That couldn’t be further from the truth. I think everyone should have to read books like Exposed so they can fully understand the impact their actions have golobally. Everyone should be educated about their purchases and products so they can fully understand the world they participate in.

Food, you need it, it can’t be perishable and you might need alot of it. You can stock your kit up with survival bars or other non-perishables. It doesn’t matter as long as you have enough of it too keep you alive.
There are smaller less expensive kits out there which may be more appropriate but for me in an emergency situation I want to be as prepared as possible. You never know what you might need and if you can help someone else along the way.
Your pooch depends on you and in a disaster they cannot always save themselves. You would feel horrible if you couldn’t save them right?
Any candles will do but the larger the candle the longer the burning time. You can go green and get bees wax candles or even make your own out of used candles you have at home but whatever do just always have them.
is the perfect way to teach your family about the importance of being earth friendly. Many important lessons parents try to teach their children are often learned through games because you want to teach your children that doing the right thing can be fun. Being environmentally conscious is just another one of those important lessons.
