Theoretical educational models, structured upon in-depth research conducted in Congo, created by students of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation, will also be on exhibition.</p>
<p>Special guests will include Matthew Bishop, American Business Editor and New York Bureau Chief for The Economist and Khaliah Ali, humanitarian and daughter of legendary fighter Muhammad Ali.</p>

<p>Urban Harvest Farmers Market vendors are gearing up for the upcoming holiday with turkey, vegetables galore, cheeses, prepared food and much more.<br />
The market will host cooking and design demonstrations for visitors to the market. Chef Ryan Pera of The Grove Restaurant will be making a pumpkin flan with walnut and sage pesto, a perfect side dish for the Thanksgiving meal. Chef Hugo Ortega of Backstreet Cafe and Hugo’s Restaurant will be making either a sweet potato gratin or a spinach and pine nut dressing. Demos start at 9am.<br />
Jessica Zapatero and Lauren Elizabeth Ballas of Green Lily Events will be at the market showing Houstonians how to design a show stopping, environmentally responsible Thanksgiving table, all under $30. They will be using products from our market, as well as recyclable, eco-friendly products. Stop by for some simple, beautiful tips!</p>

You will be able to meet some of our adoptable dogs, pick up some great FREE educational materials, and speak with volunteers to learn more about A Better Place all breed dog rescue and pet education.</p>
