About LIPS:Long Island Pit Stop rescues animals on death row from New York City kill shelters.

About The Event:
Help us to help save New York’s death row animals! Hazel and Brownie are two of the worst cases of animal cruelty that we have seen. After joining the LIPS family, they are now healthy and thriving in loving homes These are two of the many animals that we have helped unfortunately, there are so many more waiting for us. Please join us on Sunday November 27th at the Brokerage Comedy Club in Bellmore. Doors open at 6:30 pm, showtime starts at 8:00 pm. Let’s share a laugh and do a good deed! We have great raffle prizes and comedians, tickets are $25 each. Tickets can be purchased on the “donations” tab on the left hand side of the “Long Island Pit Stop Animal Rescue” Facebook main page or, you can contact us directly! We hope to see you there but if you cannot join us, all donations are greatly appreciated.

Today I finally opened the Gone but Not Forgottenalbum for dogs who didn’t get rescued in time on Facebook. I cannot tell you how much my heart hurts today after seeing soo many beautiful animals needlessly killed because they couldn’t be adopted or fostered. I have been trying to do my part and sharing these dogs stories and photos with as many people as I can in hopes of helping these poor dogs find a new home. This “cross-posting” definitely takes a toll especially when an animal you were trying to save is put in the Gone But Not Forgotten photo album.
Today I write this article to ask for two things:
1. Help “cross-posters” out! Share the photos and stories of these animals so we can keep them from being destroyed. Please either e-mail me or find me on Facebook and I will get you in touch with the right people. Please help us help these animals.
2. Please read and follow NO Kill NEWS so you can stay on top of the news on where animals might be able to go or new laws that can help us save these guys! Another way to help is by visiting the NO KILL NATION store and help support an amazing cause.
Rescuing animals is something so near and dear to me. All of my pets are rescues and I encourage everyone I come across who is searching for a pet to rescue one. You are doing your community and the animal such a service. Imagine someone just leaving you out on the streets by yourself and one day you get brought to a place where you know no one or what is going on only to be destroyed a short time later. Why would we treat any living thing that way? These animals can’t help themselves they need us to care. With all the wrong that goes on in this world on a daily basis something small like helping rescues find a forever home is something that is so right and will make you feel amazing. Please help these hardworking cross posters and please please donate to NO Kill NATION!

Get started with the Animal rescue today!

Lost Our Home Pet Foundation Up For Pepsi Refresh Grant

Lost Our Home

Lost Our Home is excited to announce Lost Our Home Pet Foundation’s (LOH) official entry into the Pepsi Refresh Project’s $250,000 grant contest under the Neighborhoods category.

LOH needs support and votes from the community and animal lovers everywhere throughout the month of August. If awarded these funds, LOH will be able to launch and operate a no-kill shelter as well as expand the hours of its “Furry Friends Food Bank” to run 7-days a week.

Pepsi is giving away millions of dollars every month to fund great ideas that refresh communities in several different categories. Voting for new ideas begins today. Members of the community can vote for their favorite ideas at the Pepsi Refresh Project Web site, and come back again to support their favorite ideas daily. A winner will be chosen in each category for different levels of funding ranging from $5,000 to $250,000.

To receive this funding from Pepsi, LOH needs the support of the community through its VOTES.

Click here to cast your daily vote for LOH and give helpless animals a second chance. Voters can also text 101792 to Pepsi (73774).

Please join with us for this daily effort and ask your friends, family and coworkers to do the same. Your continued votes can help secure LOH’s place as a contender!
